Sharon created wonderful memory pillows from my Grandfather’s shirts for my family. My aunts, cousins and children all treasure their special “Grandpa Bob” keepsakes. Her attention to detail means the pillows are well made and I know will last a long time.
Sharon helped me turn an abstract idea into a beautiful work of art. In my interactions with Sharon, I found her professional, creative, dependable, and incredibly helpful! When I wanted to have this quilt made, I knew next to nothing about the quilt-making process. Sharon explained the process in detail, always the patient, articulate teacher. She made sure to keep me abreast of her progress and always made me feel a part of the quilt’s design/creation. When I met with her to receive the finished product, it was even more beautiful than I imagined. Her skill and passion were evident. She truly made my vision a reality! I could not imagine a smoother process or better finished product. Sharon is not only an excellent quilt-maker, but also a fabulous teacher, artistic visionary, and reliable businesswoman.
After doing several races over the years, I accumulated way too many race shirts that were taking up valuable dresser space. There were so many shirts and I didn’t wear most of them, but I couldn’t part with any of them as each was tied to an incredible memory – my first marathon, first sub-4 hour, first trail marathon, ultra-marathon, etc. I was beginning to make the tough decision of which shirts would need to go when I started talking to Sharon about creating a t-shirt quilt. At first I thought she wouldn’t be able to do much with many of the shirts. They were old and frayed and I figured the quality would carry over into the quilt. I was wrong. When I saw the quilt there were no frays and the shirts looked incredible – a beautiful quilt that I love and will have forever. Each square holds a story filled with hours of struggle, sweat, perseverance, joy and accomplishment. Thank you Sharon and thank you Quilted Scottie. This is more than a beautiful quilt, it’s a way for me to hold and share some of the best memories of my life.
When I received my 2nd year anniversary present from Sarah, I was in shock. I’m not much of a sentimental man, but this quilt made my heart warm. A lot of meaningful things that she has said to me over the past 2 years were all over this quilt. It’s a beautiful representation of our love. Most times when I’m cold, I grab my quilt and re-read all the things she has said to me in the past. It gets nightly use! The quilt is very well made, soft, and comfortable. Thank you, Sharon, for making a vision become reality. It’s something that I can treasure for the rest of my life.
